the artist’s storY
Born in beautiful Bermuda from two teenage parents, they migrated across the vast Atlantic to England to attend University. This transition shaped his character and artwork as his parents introduced Josiah to all forms of pop culture and media from the 90s and 2000s that reminded them of the home they left. Ranging from cartoons to streetwear to music, it all became part of his identity that developed into his own unique style.
From this sparked his passion to create artwork that would speak to not only his younger self but individuals similar to himself, who have moved away from ‘home’ yet search for it everyday. His paintings are eccentric and full of energy, however developed meticulously over layers and stages to represent a quiet depth behind a vibrant exterior.
